5 Smart design not too big.
Posted by Brian Mason on Nov 25th 2025
We love ours so we bought one for my mother in law. 4 burner elements fairly even heat the back is slightly warmer than the front due to the door. The front sliding crumb tray and easy pull plug are design improvements over other brands. Breville products are our fave due to the reliability and smart designs.

5 Versatile, functional, and simple

The design is very simple and functional; there aren't dozens of confusing buttons with complex functionalities. It looks great on the countertop and it works very well for so many things.

5 Exceptional small oven
Posted by Elizabeth Ruiz on Nov 12th 2025
I am finally getting used to my new oven and I love it. Great size. Made a delicious small roast and it came out wonderful. My alarm rings 2 or 3 times and that is it. I hear it if I am close or no tv etc is on. My only disappointment is the pizza pans are out of stock.

5 Almost perfect
Posted by Terry West on Nov 11th 2025
The oven is just what I was looking for -- size, function, and aesthetics. But no product is perfect and a couple of changes would improve the Mini Smart Oven. (1) The metal rack could be improved by having a back stop (like the racks in home ovens); currently it's too easy to pull it out fully with something on it and burn yourself; this is an improved safety feature. (2) The labels on the dial could be made easier to read. I'm learning to memorize their positions, but I shouldn't have to do this. On the positive side, the oven accomplishes all of its functions really well. And the ease of accessing the crumb tray is well designed. So despite the safety issue and the ease of reading issue, I'd buy this again and recommend it to others. Design is about iteration, and hopefully the next model will address the issues above.

5 Breville mini oven
Posted by Patricia Collins on Oct 26th 2025
Our first Breville mini oven was well used daily for toasting, baking, broiling and reheating. However the door on the front broke and would no longer open or close properly. I contacted Breville customer service hoping I could get it repaired or buy the required parts but was very pleased to be told they would replace the entire unit! They provided a pre paid shipping label to return the broken unit and the replacement arrived within a few days. Very quick efficient service. So far we love all of our Breville appliances and customer service was excellent when we needed it for the mini oven.

3 Burning smell from inside
Posted by Rebecca Gonzales on Oct 25th 2025
Bought it 5 months ago and use it regularly. Twice in the past month it's started giving off a burning/melting smell inside. Just this morning, my toast smelled like I cooked it over an open flame. Smoky. And I've noticed that the frame is exceptionally hotter than usual after using it to cook toast. I think it'd be close to boiling/sizzling water if I splashed some on it. And it's not the cord leaning against the outer frame, or anything else. And no, there is no food or debris on the burners. It's Sunday so I will be contacting Breville tomorrow. But for the time being, I won't be using it. I'm worried it's going to catch fire.

4 Compact, easy to use, minor shortcomings
Posted by Jeremy Kelly on Oct 24th 2025
My ancient under-cabinet toaster oven, circa 1980s, finally died. That model has not been sold for years, so after revewing numerous replacement options I picked this compact counter-top oven, which appeared to be well-suited to a 2-person household. The capacity is slightly smaller than my previous oven but it has performed well toasting bagels & garlic bread, roasting asparagus & potato slices, baking fish fillets, and reheating frozen waffles. I found it easy to use with a little practice after reading the manual. The rack height guide on the door is an excellent idea. I tested temperatures with an oven thermometer; they were within 25 degrees of the temperature shown on the oven display. I have a suggestion for improvement: After preheating, require START to be pressed again to begin the timer countdown OR add a 10-15 second delay. Right now the countdown starts immediately upon reaching the set temperature. There is a [beep], but if I'm in another room it can take a little time to get back to the oven so the baking/roasting/reheating time will be shorter than set.

5 LOVE this little guy!
Posted by Stephen Thompson on Oct 23rd 2025
We downsized last summer to an apartment, and thought we could live without a toaster oven. Not. Got this cute little Mini Smart Oven from Breville and LOVE it! It does everything, and does it very well - and it is REALLY smart! Settings are easy to use, cover a wide range of uses - we cook everything small enough to fit in there - toast to pie to baked potatoes to roasted veggies and lots more. Can't tell you how many times we look at each other and one of us shakes our head and says, "I just LOVE this toaster oven!" And we are not the gushing, easy-to-please types. It's not cheap, but it is worth every penny IMHO.

5 Perfect little oven
Posted by Benjamin Evans on Oct 21st 2025
Perfect little oven. My family uses it daily to make toast, bake cookies, cook chicken fingers, etc. I love the āa bit moreā button for toast. Larger items can overcook on the bottom, so we lower the temp by 10 degrees or so and check for doneness 5-10 minutes earlier if weāre baking something large, like a casserole.
